Eggshell Collection

The Eggshell Collection is built around the rare and beautiful finish of applied eggshells, known as coquille d'oeuf, with a materiality and resonance all its own. Andy Messenger has refined and perfected this intricate technique, applying it to large surfaces across contemporary geometric forms as well as traditional furniture pieces. In particular, he has developed a subtle way to tone the background color of an eggshell surface to bring it into greater harmony with various woods and the overall palette in an interior for a uniquely artisanal Collection.
